The city of Emmendingen is still buzzing from the electrifying performance delivered by international Afropop sensation, Yemi Alade, at the AFRICAN MUSIC FESTIVAL on August 6th.
Regarded as an elite power house in African music, Yemi Alade did not disappoint. With a mixture of her iconic hits like “BumBum”, “Johnny” , “Africa” and “Deceive” and brand-new releases like “Fake Friends (Ire Ore” she captivated the audience, leaving them both nostalgic and exhilarated. Her unique blend of traditional African rhythms with contemporary sounds resonated deeply, as the crowd danced and sang along despite the rain.
The AFRICAN MUSIC FESTIVAL, known for celebrating the best of African music, arts, and culture, saw record-breaking attendance this year. With Yemi Alade as the headline Act, it was a night that transcended borders, reinforcing the universal appeal of African music.
